Our platform is designed with the goal of connecting people to one another in more healthy, meaningful, resilient relationships that nourish a sense of belonging and support human thriving. Studies have shown for decades that addiction is highly correlated to loneliness, and BlueThread is designed to address the epidemic of loneliness and polarization that has swept the US and the globe. The tool provides not only wording to send messages over text or email but guidance on conversations best had in person, how to make those interactions more comfortable and successful. It includes follow up tips to support relationships in the long-term rather than providing support only for one-off transactional encounters. Our goal in empowering people with skills, ways to practice, actionable feedback, access to original sources, and the like—is to provide transformative learning that boosts the courage and joy in being together. Our hope is that BlueThread.Ai will be a resource for relationships in real life (IRL) that make the cyberworld less appealing and help people foster healthy connections.

We strive to hold ourselves to the highest possible ethical standards, including developing accountability practices that have not been established as policy. As a baseline, we also adhere to policies governing AI that have been established worldwide. Our efforts to empower users regarding the resources we curate and the humans behind the scenes monitoring for bias, our efforts to build user feedback loops to provide for cooperative shaping of the tool by users around the planet, and our efforts to maximize accessibility for all people—all these are measures we take to enhance our ability to identify problems before and as soon as they occur so that we can address them proactively.
